BioThe Heavy Hangout is a radio program that airs monday night/tuesday morning from midnight to 2am. You can hear it in New Orleans on 91.5 fm, or get a webcast at wtul.fm
the heavy hangout was spawned by my (Scott D) de-retirement after the subsequent personel shortage post -Katrina and Ryan the Lion's showing up one night. It was also spawned by my sick knowledge of the ur-17,000 or so records available for airing at WTUL, my obsession with 70'shardrockstonerrocksludgemetal, and Ryan the Cyan's ungodly necroworship of the gods of grind. I'd be shorting us here if I didn't mention the undying yet unprofessed love we both have for hardcore, punk rock, and stupid thrash metal. We're really into stupid, kiddies. In fact, I'd be lying if I didn't say that this is the stupidest (and most obscurist) radio show on the air anywhere in the world. We play the best in all heavy music from 196x to 200x, it doesn't really matter when if it's balls out baby.
